- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 tbsp cardamom powder
- as required Oil for frying
- 1 cup water

Instructions to make to make Bengali moong dal pitha
- Here I have rinsed and soaked moong dal for 1 hour.it saved my time of cooking.
- Heat pressure cooker, add ghee to it.drain soaked moong dal.fry till aroma comes out.now pour 1 cup milk.add 1 cup water.give two whistles. After that take out dal in pan add rice flour to it.
- Mix well and stir continuously.put a lid and cook till you get soft dough.
- Roll out small balls press a little. with the help of scewer make flower design.
- In another pan,add 1 and 1/2 cup sugar, add little water to get sugar syrup.add cardamom powder.
- In deep pan add oil once it is hot turn the flame to medium heat.deep fry pitha till golden brown.
- Put them in sugar syrup.rest for 1/2 hour.add chopped almonds. it's optional but I like it.you can skip.I didn't get saffron. serve hot or chilled.your choice. Enjoy
